Jeffrey S. Trespel earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Buffalo (SUNY) in 1981. He did post-graduate work in finance at Florida Atlantic University. In 2000, Jeffrey earned his law degree from Florida State University.
Jeffrey worked in the insurance industry for 15 years before entering law school and learned the tactics insurance companies use to delay and evade responsibility or minimize an injured party’s damages.
He joined Will Ferguson & Associates, New Mexico’s largest personal injury law firm in 2004 and has represented injured people in claims involving serious personal injuries, wrongful death, dram-shop actions against irresponsible liquor purveyors, big-rig trucking crashes, and cases in which children have been injured through institutional negligence.
In 2009, Jeffrey and Will Ferguson, the law firm’s managing attorney, recognized the value that a crack team of former insurance claims supervisors and adjusters would offer folks in cases where is clear liability by the other party. The Justice Project of New Mexico was organized as a subsidiary to expeditiously pursue recovery in those cases.
Jeffrey enjoys music with his alt-rock band “Thursday Spin.” He also enjoys hiking, gardening and traveling the globe.
